Bertram Haude’s work shows charcoal drawings produced in an acceptance process; originally photographic images of forests are transformed by hand into minimal graphic patterns that have gone through various graphic production processes backwards, as it were. The continued reduction of the image information during these processes leads to schematic and at the same time ghostly shadow images, as they are reproduced in the darkness of quickly closed eyes.
