In 2021, Bertram Haude began a hike along a route based on special archaeological sites. These are mostly sites on which the Out-of-Africa theory is based.

The archaeological discoveries between the Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania and Leipzig, Bertram Haude’s place of residence, which are decisive for the route and were mostly made by chance, form a hominid trail to central Germany. > See: MAP of archaeological sites

Of course, such a route was never travelled - and it was covered over thousands of years in several non-continuous migrations that were separated in time and space. Bertram Haude attempts to retrace this constructed route in the opposite direction, meeting and possibly portraying the people who live at or near these sites today. As the place of origin of man does not exist, the trail leads back into the unknown. The original plan to complete the route in one go could not be realised.
There were several attempts by humans to migrate from the south into the northern hemisphere. Many failed. DNA analyses of remains found in Europe show that there were people who left no traces in the DNA of people living today.
The probability of Homo sapiens populating the earth with billions of individuals was almost zero throughout human history.
