ISLF - The International Shattered Liberation Force

Volunteers are mobilizing to form the ISLF - the International Shattered Liberation Forces, to perform on the days of the Battle of the Nations from 17 - 20 October 2013. The ISLF wants to undermine the war re-enactment in Leipzig (6000 amateur soldiers). The ISLF takes up the image of the lost, left-behind, unfortunate losers of the war. The ISLF is the defeated battalion. The ISLF is starving, filthy, homeless and hungry, with wounds and rashes, wearing scraps of uniform and tattered clothing. The ISLF wanders around and through Leipzig on historical routes through villages and places that are the scenes of the war of that time and the spectacle of today. The ISLF turn up at events, eat what they can get, camp in barns, on village squares or in open fields. The food supply of the group is dependent on the support of the population.
