Elstermeter

A water meter shows the flow rate of the Elster, the river that flows directly past the new townhouse complex. The metering begins on the day the building is occupied and continues for as long as the building remains standing. Each rental contract will contain the litre quantity of the contract day. This water meter can therefore become a symbol of living time and lifetime for the residents.

The clock is controlled by a flow meter (paddle wheel or magnetic-inductive), which is fixed in the river.
