Installations around a pound,
postcards, guided tours

Studies on the duck population at the Gamsenteich pond in Neustadt/Orla, caused by chance observations, revealed highly remarkable insights into a kind of small community. A consensual highlighting of the duck state structure took place. Expert guided tours gave human visitors a first insight into the life of the duck republic. The contents of the guided tours were: Social organization, history of the pond, social life, economic cycles, etc.

The investigations were continued. The result was a book about democracy and community.

The project was developed at the invitation of the exhibition project “Democracy as a Process” - curators: Lilian Engelmann and Vera Lauf.
