In a fixed frame, the video shows the back entrance of an exclusive hotel in Beijing. 

A sign over the door says: 

Through this door pass the world’s most courteous, helpful and sincere employees.

Acting on my own authority, I appropriated this modern sanctification for myself, a curse of our times forced upon the employee. This highly ambivalent distinction, the highest commitment, the modern conditional agreement, is the sword of Damocles hanging over the appropriated subject. 

I gave this “blessing”, one that even the artist would like to receive for their own work, to myself: Without having any business there, and even without permission I entered and left through the door several times. An oracle of our times.
